Children at the Zoo - CATZ
Helping all children in our community learn firsthand.
Many of us know the thrill of a family visit to the Zoo. Children tug on the hand of a parent or a grandparent as they pass through the main gate. Their eyes fill with eager anticipation as they race down the pathways to visit their favorite places or to experience the newest exhibit for the very first time.
But not every child in our community can look forward to this experience. There are thousands of children and families in our area who face difficult economic or social situations. For them, a trip to the Zoo is just beyond their reach.
The Children at the Zoo CATZ program helps to bring the Zoo experience within reach. It provides free admission passes to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo for at-risk children and families. In 2007 alone, the CATZ program partnered with local social service agencies to bring the Zoo experience to more than 6,000 children.
Please take a moment to give to the CATZ program. Your donation will go a long way in helping all children of our community learn firsthand and have wonderful adventures! Or donate online.
