BOO at the ZOO is the capitol city’s largest, long-standing Halloween tradition. Held October 26-30, families from around the community experience the Zoo at night for this ‘merry, not scary’ event. Children of all ages enjoy trick-or-treating in a safe environment surrounded by the animals of the Zoo. You’ll meet some of your favorite costumed characters, and fill your bag full of treats at the Boo Stations, generously sponsored by more than 30 local area busineses and organizations. Check out images from this great event! See photos from our Costume Contest!
Get into the Halloween spirit by getting Boo'd, a fun neighborhood activity.
Show off your Zoo spirit by using these fun pumpkin stencils. Choose from the Zoo's logo, otter, stork and Matschie's tree kangaroo. Email us a copy of the photo and we will post it on our facebook page.
How can I pre-purchase tickets?
After October 16, you can purchase your BOO at the ZOO tickets by stopping by the Zoo's Zoonique Boutique from 9am to 4pm, Monday thru Friday. The Zoonique Boutique will also have special weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday Oct. 24 & 25 from 12pm to 4pm.
For families who want faster entry into BOO at the ZOO!
What are Early Bird Passes?
Early Bird Passes are premium tickets which allow a limited number of patrons to enter BOO at the ZOO each night at 5:20pm, before the gates open to the general public at 5:30pm. Early Bird Passes are date-specific and are available while supplies last, so choose your evening and join us for the fun!
My family has a Zoo Membership, which will let us into BOO at the ZOO for free. To save time at the event, we pre-purchase our tickets for treat bags each year. I think the Early Bird program would be great for our family. Is it a purchase item? How much does it cost?
Each Early Bird Pass must be accompanied by a BOO at the ZOO admission ticket or a valid membership for 2009 or 2010. You will still need to purchase Early Bird Passes for everyone in your family who will attend BOO at the ZOO. Early Bird Passes are $3 per person - all patrons ages 2 and up must have an Early Bird Pass for early entry into BOO at the ZOO.
DID YOU KNOW: BOO at the ZOO Sponsors reach nearly 20,000 people in the capitol city area in just five nights! For more information on how your business or organization can be a part of this fantastic event, contact the development staff at 402.475.6741, ext. 122.
