Sensory Safari

Sounds, Smells, and a Sense of Touch Create the Sensory Safari Experience!

Join us between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on September 16 for this life changing event. This day will introduce children and adults who are blind or visually impaired from across Nebraska and western Iowa to the Zoo. This event - sponsored by the NE Chapter of Safari Club International, NE Chapter of Sables Club International, Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired, NE Game and Parks Commission, Pierson Wildlife Museum, and the Lincoln Children's Zoo - provides the opportunity for guests to touch animal mounts, furs, feet and scales, to smell the animal diets, and to hear recordings of animal sounds.
